Dragons Exist

They were never merely creatures of legend.

They have their own history.

Their own laws.

Their own bloodlines.

Their own rivalries.

And powers humanity is only beginning to understand.

In the world of The Prophecy, dragons are far more than beasts soaring above distant mountains. They form families, govern themselves, protect ancient traditions, communicate beyond ordinary speech, practice extraordinary forms of magic, and carry histories that reach far beyond the lives of human kingdoms.

For generations, much of humanity has known them only through stories.

That is about to change.

THE DRAGON BLOODLINES

Dragon identity is deeply connected to lineage.

Within dragon society are different races and bloodlines, including green, red, brown, golden, black, and other dragons, each represented within a larger political structure.

The High Council of Dragons includes representatives from these dragon races, with individuals such as Raynor of the green dragons, Ramari of the red dragons, Bejour of the brown dragons, Gelden of the golden dragons, and Baskar of the black dragons taking positions on matters capable of affecting the future of dragonkind.

Their differences are not simply visual.

Dragon history contains alliances, disagreements, traditions, political divisions, and competing ideas about how their kind should interact with humanity.

THE HIGH COUNCIL OF DRAGONS

Dragons are not without order.

The High Council of Dragons serves as an important governing force within their world, debating security, training, relationships between races, and decisions that may influence generations.

Some matters can take years to resolve—a very different concept of time for beings capable of living for centuries. The manuscript describes dragon council discussions, security planning, hatchling training, and questions of protection that can extend across long periods of dragon life.

That long memory shapes the way dragons see the world.

Humans may think in terms of years.

Dragons can think in terms of centuries.

And old disagreements are rarely forgotten.

ALUJEAN

A world hidden beyond the human kingdoms.

Alujean represents one of the important centers of dragon life.

It is connected to the High Council, dragon training, security, and the traditions passed from one generation to another.

Young dragons are not simply born knowing how to control everything they can become. Flight, transformation, protection, magic, and the use of extraordinary abilities all require understanding and discipline.

For Leto and Donaterri, learning those abilities becomes essential because their bloodline places them at the center of something much larger than themselves.

Their training is not merely about becoming stronger.

It is preparation for what may be coming.

HUMAN FORM. DRAGON FORM.

Transformation changes more than appearance.

Certain dragons can move between human and dragon forms.

And once dragon blood enters Leandro’s human body, transformation becomes possible for him as well.

Anaterri explains that his body has accepted her blood at a cellular level, allowing his powers to continue developing until his human body can fully transform into a dragon.

The transformation is physical—but it also demands control.

Leto must learn the same lesson when his own dragon identity awakens. Flight initially feels unfamiliar, powerful, and difficult to master. Even returning to human form requires consciously shifting his energy back toward his human body.

To become a dragon is one thing.

To master what that means is another.
